River Embankment of Guyomarc’k Factory

I.INFORMATION:

        Guyomarc’h Dong Thap Factory is built on an area of 4.5 ha, with a total budget of 4 million EU (invested 100% of France). This project is building factory no.4 by EVIALIS Vietnam as an investor. With design-scale production of 150,000 tons / year, GUYOMARC’H Dong Thap will be priority factory produce and supply of livestock feed for farmers in the region and neighboring provinces

 

II. APPLYING E’GRID GEOGRIDS WITH CONCRETE MODULAR BLOCK FOR RIVER WALL OF PROJECT “GUYOMARC’H DONG THAP”:

2.1. Problem :

The requirement of investor:

  • Design the river wall with 176m long along the SaDec River, viewed from downstream of Cai Tau Ha industrial Park, Chau Thanh District, Dong Thap Province. The soil condition is very complicated, SPT number = 0, the soft soil thickness is from 17.5m to 18.5m. The difference of water level which is over 5.36m (from elevation -1.16m to +4.2m), made a lot of difficulties for construction
  • Allowable construction time is short (6 months)

            With the construction time request, cost, stability and high aesthetic of the projects, the investor trusted and appointed Hoang Trung Chinh Co., ltd as a consultant, design and construction slope embankment with the solution “MSEW reinforced by E’GRID Geogrids with modular block for surface above the spun pile system”

2.2. The benefits of Investor:

The slope embankment with MSEW reinforced by E’GRID Geogrids with modular block for surface above the spun pile system can ensure the stability and create high aesthetic surface

2.3. Advantages of solution:

Comparing with conventional solutions such as cement stone wall, MSEW has high advantages:

  • Rapid and simple
  • Quality of projects stable over time than the associated stone with cement mortar (material quality accreditation from the factory).
  • High aesthetic surface with modular concrete block (concrete block river wall surface feels soft and friendly with environment than other solutions)
